The Role

We are seeking a Staff Research Engineer, SDK Applications to build practical SDK applications powered by the Ephapsys platform.

SDK applications at Ephapsys are typically AI agents for a wide range of use cases, and this role bridges research innovation with real-world deployment through reference implementations and agent architectures.

You will work closely with the Staff Research Engineers and the Head of Platform Operations to validate SDK capabilities, stress-test model behavior in applied environments, and develop reusable agent frameworks that accelerate adoption.

Responsibilities

Agent & Application Development

  • Build AI agents powered by the Ephapsys SDK
  • Develop reference implementations across multiple use cases
  • Prototype new agent architectures leveraging ephaptic-enhanced models
  • Build reusable components that accelerate AI application development

SDK Validation & Feedback

  • Stress test SDK features through real-world applications
  • Provide actionable feedback to improve SDK design and usability
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and integration friction points
  • Contribute improvements to platform APIs and developer tooling

Developer Experience

  • Create example applications and tutorials
  • Improve onboarding experiences for developers using the SDK
  • Develop integration guides and reference architectures
  • Support developer ecosystem growth through technical content

Collaboration

  • Work closely with research engineers to apply new model capabilities
  • Collaborate with the platform team on agent deployment pipelines
  • Translate research innovations into usable software patterns

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong experience building AI applications or agents
  • Proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML tooling
  • Experience with LLM frameworks, agent orchestration, or RAG systems
  • Experience integrating APIs and building modular AI systems
  • Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate on AI-driven applications

Preferred

  • Master or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Applied Mathematics, or related field
  • Experience working with SDK-based AI platforms
  • Familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Experience building developer-facing tools or APIs
  • Background in AI infrastructure or ML systems engineering

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 3-6 months, you will have built several high-quality agent implementations demonstrating the power of the Ephapsys SDK, improved the developer experience through reference architectures and tooling, and contributed meaningful feedback that strengthens the platform.
